Plain Language Workshop
Also known as clear language, plain language has quickly become a standard for clarity and coherence in business writing in North America.
Using examples, exercises and your own writing samples in a practical and interactive approach, this course offers an overview of the principles of plain language. We provide this course in one- or two-day classroom formats, as well as in a six-hour eLearning format. At the end of the course, you will be able to measure the style of your own documents with the same criteria that professional editors use.
Two companion courses supplement your language skills: The ESL Writer’s Workshop, for those who use English as a second language, and The Grammar Refresher, a review of the grammar rules related to workplace writing.
We frequently run this course as a public session. Check the current public schedule.
